This type of investment has been used by a number of property clubs to try and entice the not so wise investor into the property market with wild claims of property growth that may allow the client to sell on prior to completion, and then take out a massive profit. Very sadly this has not been the case in practice, as many disillusioned clients who have not been able to sell on, or rent out the property to cover the mortgage interest payments, as the repossessed portfolio of properties will confirm.

There are of course good developments, but we come back to the basics again. if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Due diligence is the order of the day, hear what the salesman has to say and then go and do some very thorough checking before you commit to spending one penny of your very hard earned money.

With all due respect to property developers, this type of Investment should have a very clear health warning, buyer beware. I think we would struggle to find very many successful off plan developments in the UK in recent times where the clients have actually made any money.
